Post-workshop exhibition conducted by Veronika Moos-Brochhagen
The Goethe-Institut Karachi is happy to continue its collaboration with the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture through a two-week workshop aimed for advanced students of textile design. It gives an insight in the use of material along with basic textile techniques to create three dimensional forms and will help the students with their curriculum. The workshop will be conducted by Veronika Moos-Brochhagen, a German expert in that very field. Her “tectonic sculptures” focus on the transparency, instability as well as the warmth of the complex textile material.
The workshop will be concluded by a public exhibition of all of the student’s artworks using techniques like basketry, off-loom weaving as well as other interesting mixes of textile media.
